While a lot of the news from California this year was about the fires, winemakers were breathing sighs of relief as their timing in mid to late October meant that most of the grapes were harvested before any risk of smoke taint. In fact, early samples of 2019s look very good.
The 2018s continue to offer real pleasure showing good ripeness yet elegance and balance, and the 2017s and 2016s still listed are showing very well.
