Finca Constancia is owned by the famous sherry house of González Byass. It is a modern facility, built in 2006, designed to produce wines with intense fruit flavours that can be drunk young.
The vineyard is in the province of Toledo in Castilla La Mancha, around 90km from Madrid. The continental climate here (cold winters and hot summers) means the grapes ripen with rich flavours and thick skins: this large estate (around 200 hectares) is planted with a range of different grape varieties (tempranillo, garnacha, graciano, verdejo plus international grapes such as cabernet and syrah).
The standout wine is sourced from a specific plot which consistently produces the best tempranillo: it is called parcela 23.
