"Wow my first bad review on WS. I bought this on the strength of the great member reviews on here but was very disappointed. I found a thin taste with a slight biscuitey finish. I have drunk better supermarket brand champagnes at £10 cheaper. Ok if you get at a knockdown price but at £35 a bottle there’s better out there. Back to the Pol Roger for me! "

"Fine bubbles. Depth and lots of Chardonnay flavour. Good ‘toast’ definition. Definitely buy again. "

"I’m not a champagne expert but bought the half bottle just as a taster and have resulted in buying the full case. Complex enjoyable wine at a great price. "

"We did not like this Champagne. Acidic with an odd slightly metallic after taste. We both had headaches after drinking it on every occasion we drank it ( 1 or 2 glasses only and no other alcohol)"

"Very light and delicate bone dry Champagne. Thoroughly enjoyable but for me there was something missing in the blend. Tried it next to a Nyetimer Brut Classic NV - the latter knocked the socks off the Boizel."

"I have now bought this champagne three times, so I think I can say it’s a favourite, especially if bought on special offer! Clean, fresh and ”appley” it has been well remarked on by everyone I’ve served it to. I am now desperately trying to hang on to the latest batch to see the effect a few extra months in bottle might have. Can I stretch it to Christmas though.......?"

"Excellent champagne - light, delicate and buttery and perhaps not quite as dry as other Brut. "

"As a lover of Pol Roger, I read a review that said this champagne surpassed Pol. So decided to give it a try at a dinner party. All the guests wanted to know what they had drank. The wife is never overly fussed about champagne but this was one she loved. Definitely worth a case. Loved it. Will be buying this more often. "

"We love it ; it's not as full as Pol Roger, or as flamboyant as Bollinger, but very elegant . Not as toasty as some , less brioche than most, but sublimely familiar, homely ....I see a note mentioning " house champagne" and in Boizel we have found ours...we tried it with salmon wraps and pork belly with great success.

"This was a "test buy" - trading down from Henri Giraud (sadly not available from the Wine Society) and Pol Roger, which I buy regularly and also give it another sixto twelve months in the bottle. I generally prefer Champagnes that are mature and have a good proportion of Pinot Noir.
I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the Boizel - my bottle (bought July 2017) had been disgorged in March 2016 and was really well integrated and on the right side of mature, with some freshness and with a long and clean finish. Closed with a champagne stopper it kept a fine persistent mousse and still tasted excellent 24 hours later. I will be buying this again on special offer."

"As the height of decadence I tried some of this alongside Pol roger (my favourite) and it was better! Creamy and biscuity and everything a champagne should be. Will be buying again whenever it is discounted..."

"We bought half a dozen bottles of this champagne for entertaining at Christmas and it was popular. It is new to us but we will buy more. Last evening (New Year's Eve) we drank Pol Roger NV which we lay down for a year or two and is a wonderful wine. Today we are drinking Boizel as an aperitif before lunch and it stands up really well in comparison to the Pol Roger. Boizel is a delicate wine and initially appears lightweight but this quickly gives way to finesse and complexity with hints of honey and almonds supported by a fresh and light acidity that carries the evolution on the palate through to a drying and persistent finish. A really enjoyable bottle and exceptional value."
